Dame Edgefield took in the StormChildren when they arrived. Her own children had recently moved out and her husband had died long ago, so she was happy to have more voices to occupy the quiet. It also helped to have more hands to help with the farm.

For most of the last ten years, the children have been wandering around in a bit of a haze, but recently they seemed much more alert and aware. Because of this, she has worked with Paeter to have the children apprentice with other villagers to see if it brings them out more.
