A

Aesteana – A mystery goddess. According to Harmin there is a temple to Aesteana with “a looking glass as tall as the tallest evergreen.” somewhere in the outside world.

Altriesta – Fantos‘ mother, died with the party investigating the cave in the mountains.

B

Bitter Berries – A terrible tasting berry that Veru & Tola use in their herbal mixes.

Bloodhawks – Red hawks that live in the cliffs surrounding the bay. They are known to work together and are very dangerous.

Blood Lavender – A plant with purple leave and deep red veins. The leaves have been used to make ink.

Boar’s Leaf – A rough plant the boars eat that will give humans painful hives.

C

Cave in the Hills – A dark cave entrance where some villagers died nearly 20 years ago.

Chesa – Dame Edgefield‘s daughter, born in Soporus. Her father is the farmer, Georus Edgefield, now deceased.

Cthonites – Described by Harmin as worshipers whose gods live underground.

G

Georus Edgefield (nickname: Joss) – A farmer who was the first to find Merinda Threnody (now known as Dame Edgefield) when she washed up on the beach. Eventually, they married and had two children, Owen and Chesa. He died investigating the cave in the hills.

Mal-He’in – Described by Harmin as a goddess of death that some will pray to while in the most desperate situations.

N

Northern Wall -Really tall limestone cliffs on the North side of the bay. They rise high above the village of Soporus, are treacherously slick and inhabited by Bloodhawks, an aggressive bird that attacks in packs.

O

Owen – Dame Edgefield‘s son, born in Soporus by her husband Georus.

P

Perleycorn – The most common staple crop in the bay. Dame Edgefield put a great deal of effort into nurturing it after her husband died and now has bi-annual harvests. Can be made into bread, soups and even in some of Bernerd’s ales.

S

Sea Cave – A cave found in the cliffs out in the bay that no one has explored. It is only reachable by boat.

Seven Cities – A city outside the bay, described by Harmin. “Despite its name, it is one grand city where seven nations come together. Nestled on the coast of the Great Rift between 3 great nations, Saradin, Meridor and the Elven lands, Seven Cities is a hub of culture.”

Southern Wall – Really tall limestone cliffs on the South side of the bay. They rise high above the village of Soporus, are treacherously slick and inhabited by Bloodhawks, an aggressive bird that attacks in packs.

Spikey Fruit – A sweet fruit with a thick, skin with spikes. It’s usually cut into quarters and served on holidays.

Springfair – One of three annual festivals in Soporus, marked by games, extravagant cooking to use up the stored wares that may go bad soon, performances by anybody who wants to try and contests of various types.

T

Tarfish – An uncommon fish in the bay with a strong smell and taste. It’s Kirkig‘s favorite fish, most other people can only eat it if it’s heavily spiced and fried.

Threadplant – A plant with a fibrous stalk and a fluffy white flow used by the weaver to make thread.

V

Verinos – Alsasha‘s father, died with the party investigating the cave in the mountains. Alsasha claims the single bow found in Soporus was her father’s.

W

Watcher’s Creek – Flows down from the mountains and hills, through a marsh and out to the sea and has the right purity and alkalinity to process the tannins out of the bark.
