The Storm Children of Soporus are so-named because they arrived in Soporus together after their ship had been destroyed in a heavy storm. Tied to a broken wooden post that had likely once been the mast of a ship, they had little memory of the fateful night, except that they all remembered the ship cracking apart and “ghosts on the winds.”
