The Soporus watch tower was built by Daevi with help from Harmin, the Thatcher. Daevi maintains and mans the watch tower, spending most of his free time keeping a lookout over the bay and the village. When wreckage is sighted from the tower he will sound a horn and message to the village with a series of flags and/or hand signals. He has developed his own language using both.

The watch tower was built on the small hills on a narrow point jutting out into the bay. Even with this view, the Watcher is unable to see past the thick fog at the entrance to the bay.
